Museum Africa

Take a stroll through this vibrant and enriching free museum situated on Mary Fitzgerald Square. Travel back in time through exhibits of the Second African War or touch up your cultural side through their regular art exhibitions.

Braai at Emmarentia Dam

Pack a picnic or a choppie or two and spend the afternoon on the grassy parks beside the glistening Emmarentia Dam. Unite with nature with a stroll through the immaculate gardens or take your dog out for a walk.

If you aren’t looking for a Saturday spent in the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg, break away to the Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve. There are six hiking trails in this reserve and it’s a great bird-watching location too. If you’re lucky, you might spot a zebra or red hartebeest.
